Well, 16 weeks have passed by, my how it has flown by. I actually have a little down time, Coop is sleeping and Charles is at work, so I thought I would write a little. This week Cooper had his first fever, got as high as 101, but no worries, on a little virus. He rolled over for daddy last Saturday, but didn't for me until March 31 (Thurs) while waiting for Dr Elahee. Tried a few bites of cereal last night, but I think it gave him a tummy ache. He sat in his booster chair for the first time today. He weighed 13.6 lbs on Thursday. He is getting so big.
I thought that I would try to write a little about my pregnancy and birth just to get it in words, since I started blogging late.
I went to visit my sister, Amy and her kiddos one weekend and felt like I had a cold all weekend. I was stuffy and just feeling like crud, I was also supposed to start my period the week before and hadn't yet. I just felt miserable. On Monday I went to the doctor, determined to loose weight for the millionth time, she asked if there was any chance that I could be pregnant. I said of course not. Thinking it was totally not possible I am too old and it was the last thing on my mind. Tuesday I was cleaning out my office and found a pregnancy test. I thought I would take it the next morning just because. I still hadn't started, but it was no big deal.
I got up for work on Wed and took the test. Positive??? No way. Must be contaminated. Took 2 more at work, still positive. There must still be a mistake so I took one more at home. Well, it was positive too. Made an appt with the doctor for the next week. I now had the hardest secret to keep, should I say something to Charles or wait until it was confirmed? I decided to wait what would seem like the longest week of my life. All the thoughts that went through my head....will this be a healthy baby, a boy, a girl, how will Charles react? Am I excited or just plain scared? Only time will tell......
next time I will let you know how I told Charles, it is really cute..
